Ye Xinwan: The female lead. Her family went bankrupt. She is trapped by huge debts and her grandmother’s critical medical bills. She was once engaged to a wealthy young man from the Li family, but the engagement collapses amid family betrayals. Shen Yumu: The male lead. He comes from the powerful, wealthy Shen family based in Bangkok. He used to live a life of strict self‑discipline (“observing vows”), until he meets Ye Xinwan in India. She becomes his “karmic temptation”, breaking all his self‑rules. After her family’s collapse, Ye Xinwan flees heart‑broken to India and meets Shen Yumu by chance. Shen Yumu offers a transaction: he will pay off all her crushing debts, on condition she becomes his lover for three months. What starts as a cold‑blooded deal slowly turns into deep obsession. Shen Yumu, cold and reserved, struggles between his family’s expectations and his uncontrollable longing for Ye Xinwan. Ye Xinwan struggles with dignity, trauma and whether she dares to trust this dangerous powerful man. The story moves between Singapore and Bangkok: she travels back with him to face his complicated family, deal with her former fiancé’s harassment, and navigate power games between rich clans. The whole drama focuses on obsession, forbidden attraction, emotional tug‑of‑war, and whether two wounded people can save each other.
